Arghya Sengupta is the Founder and Research Director of Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, a leading think tank specializing in constitutional law and the regulation of India’s digital economy. He has served on several key committees, including the B.N. Srikrishna-led Committee of Experts on India’s data protection framework.
Sengupta writes extensively on the Supreme Court and the Constitution, with publications in leading journals such as the Law Quarterly Review and Public Law, alongside regular columns in national newspapers. He is the author of three books: Independence and Accountability of the Indian Higher Judiciary, Hamīñ Ast: A Biography of Article 370, and The Colonial Constitution.
Before founding Vidhi, he taught administrative law at Pembroke College, University of Oxford.
