Abhishek Singh helped shape the early architecture of the IndiaAI Mission during his tenure at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. As former Chief Executive Officer of the mission and Additional Secretary at the ministry, he was associated with India’s national AI push across compute access, public-sector adoption, digital governance and capacity-building programs.
He now serves as Director General of the National Testing Agency. His relevance to India’s AI story lies in the institutional groundwork he helped build as the government moved AI from policy ambition into program design and implementation.
Singh represents the public-administration layer behind India’s state-backed AI architecture.
