Ajit Kumar is chief information officer at HCL Technologies, leading the company’s digital transformation and modernization strategies. With over 30 years in the IT industry, he has been instrumental in reimagining business operations and building agile, tech-driven enterprises.
Before becoming CIO in 2021, Kumar served as President of Applications and Systems Integration, where he created industry-aligned delivery models and championed digital innovation. He began his career at Accenture, rising to Managing Director and helping establish offshore consulting hubs.
Kumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. His leadership is marked by deep expertise in cloud, analytics, and enterprise platforms.
