Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has brought five startups, including Sarvam AI, into its business as it looks to improve operations and customer engagement.

MiniMines, Easework AI, Sarvam AI, Siftly and CodeMate AI were selected in the fifth cohort of the Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program, which the carmaker runs with NSRCEL, the incubation hub at IIM Bangalore.

MiniMines will help Maruti Suzuki recycle end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and recover valuable materials. Easework AI will use agentic AI to automate procurement for indirect consumables. Sarvam AI will provide multilingual generative AI agents for customer interactions.

Siftly will work on generative AI tools to improve brand visibility, while CodeMate AI will help speed up the development of business process software.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Maruti Suzuki, said the company was “delighted to collaborate with five more startups.”

MiniMines would support safe recycling of end-of-life batteries, he said, while the other four startups would help improve customer engagement and business efficiency.

Maruti Suzuki said it has screened about 7,400 startups over the past seven years, engaged with more than 250 and onboarded 38 as partners.

The company runs several startup programs, including Maruti Suzuki Accelerator, Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program, Mobility Challenge, Nurture and FundRays.

Its accelerator program was launched in January 2019.

Nurture began in 2023 with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, while FundRays was launched in September 2025 with ISB Hyderabad to help alumni startups become investment-ready.
