Sauce is a relatively new entrant to India’s venture scene. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Delhi, the firm focuses on seed‑stage investments in consumer brands, retail and emerging enterprise applications. By late 2025, it had backed about 40 startups, reflecting a selective yet growing portfolio.
The fund recently led a $3.3 million Series A round in home‑and‑lifestyle brand Haus & Kinder alongside the Chona Family Office and a cohort of angel investors. Its portfolio has seen three exits, including &Me, VCCircle and Postcard, and features emerging brands such as Epigamia, The Whole Truth Foods and Mokobara. Sauce often partners with Whiteboard Capital on deals, highlighting its collaborative approach.
With roughly $250 million under management, Sauce operates with a 16‑person team, including two partners. It has participated in 55 funding rounds and maintains a hands‑on approach to helping founders build consumer‑centric businesses. The firm’s willingness to write early cheques has positioned it as a key backer of India’s next wave of consumer brands.
